The Turf Stars annuals set out to identify exciting young horses to follow during the Flat racing season selected by racing journalist and broadcaster Kel Mansfield.
There are essays about each of the 40 horses to follow in the main list describing their previous form and possible targets during the new season.
The essays include many informative quotes from the trainers, jockeys and connections of the horses discussed.
There is also a “Darkish Horses” section which covers another 20 horses to watch out for during the new season.
A new feature this year focusses on the thoughts and plans master Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien has for his awesomely powerful team.
As usual, the annual also contains betting strategies, staking plans and advice on how to follow the horses listed in Turf Stars and enjoy the thrilling sport of racing to the full.
Last year’s Turf Stars highlighted many of the season’s star performers including the top-rated horse of 2017 Cracksman, leading sprinter Harry Angel, 8-1 Craven Stakes winner Eminent, 8-1 Breeders’ Cup winner Wuheida and Royal Ascots winners Atty Persse 7-1. Barney Roy 5-2 and Coronet 9-1.
